FDPA has four affiliate organisations that represent specific disability groups. These are:
Fiji Association of the Deaf (FAD)
Is a self help group run by the deaf for the deaf. It was formed in 2002 and its only deaf association in Fiji. FAD works to advocate for, empower, and educate people who are deaf for self determination and self- reliance.
Psychiatric Survivors Assocition of Fiji (PSA)
Was established in 2004 for persons who have suffered from mental illness. PSA focuses on recruiting members, developing members skills, accessing funding, and creating awareness and links to other mental health stakeholders in Fiji.
Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)
This association was formed by persons who have suffered spinal cord injury to cater for spinal injured person. Overtime they realized that the need is similar to other wheelchair confined persons whether be medical supplies or wheelchair maintenance since other wheelchair confined persons do not have association to cater for their needs.
United Blind Persons of Fiji (UBP)
This association advocates on the behalf of blind and visually impaired people and to promote blindness prevention in all areas of society, and also provide services and aids and appliances to those who needs them.
NBO , President's of FDPA Branches and a representative of each affiliate constitute the FDPA NBR.
FDPA is managed by a five member national board of officers (NBO) at executive level and by the national board of representatives (NBR) at management level.
