(1) Counseling on health and sports

Doctors, physiotherapists, and staff in charge of sports give guidance / advice on health management, types of sports, and amount of exercise. In addition, dietary counseling is provided by nationally licensed dieticians. Individually-designed “Personal Exercise Programs” are created according to the needs of users in order to support their safe and effective sports activities.

(2) Introductory classes

The Centers provide special classes for beginners and for those who are anxious about participating in sports activities due to a lack of confidence, and support their continuing and willing participation in sports activities for the improvement of health.

(3) Facilities available for daily use of all

With the focus on beginners and those who are not yet accustomed to activities at the Centers, sports instructors provide support according to individual goals as well as respective degree and type of disability in order to help users enjoy sports in a happy, safe, and comfortable environment. The Centers also offer users a variety of useful information on sports for persons with disabilities.

(4) Sports programs

The Centers offer users a variety of programs to accommodate both beginning and advanced-level athletes who aspire to participate in athletic meets. The Centers also offer programs for persons with disabilities who want to enjoy sports along with persons without disabilities.

(5) Athletic meets

The Centers hold Athletic Meets where everyone, from beginners to advanced-level athletes, can show his / her athletic achievement and where users can enjoy sports together with their families and local residents.

(6) Workshops

The Centers hold workshops in order to promote sports for persons with disabilities and to cultivate human resources who support participation of persons with disabilities in sports activities in their respective local communities.

(7) Community interactions

The Centers hold exchange programs for users, their families, and local residents in order to enhance mutual understanding through seasonal events such as their “Summer Festival” and “Community Gathering.”

(8) Regional development programs

The Centers implement / support promotional programs for the creation of an adequate sports environment for local residents with disabilities. Through these programs, the Centers cultivate volunteers and sports instructors for persons with disabilities.
